I can't say enough how much I appreciate all of your support. It's been a great year and I'm excited for the year to come. Have you guys seen this yet?! I guess this came out a few years ago but apparently i've been sleeping on the job. Better late than never, eh? It's been about a year since I last played in New York and I couldn't be more hyped to be going back! I'm not gonna front, I new nothing about this record when I pulled it out of a stack in a record store in Indiana. It just had that look of something I would dig and I was intrigued by the low budget design of the cover. Not to mention, it was only a dollar. When I finally made it back to the East Coast, I pulled it out along with a few other things I picked up. I rubbed back and forth against my thigh the still sealed end of the sleeve, unleashing almost 30 years of shrink-wrapped funky goodness. After having a listen, I ran to google the tittle. It was only then I learned that the group was essentially an unknown funky disco outfit from Florida and, if you can even find a copy of this disc, it sells for upwards of $150! Featured below is the b-side dub mix, which I plan to do an edit of in the very near future. Enjoy! I've just returned from a great month out on the West Coast, visiting old friends and playing some really fun gigs. I also had the time to work on some new edits as well as a chance to get back in the studio with my man, Schnezzy from 2 Block Radius. For now have a listen to and feel free to download my new edit of 'Tonight You & Me' by the disco diva, Phyllis Hyman. This one is guaranteed to bump!
